Field Trip Fund so far:

At a previous graduation event there was, for various reasons, a large refund of parent money which became evident too late to return to families.

With the help of PAC, a decision was made to make a short term "field trip fund", aimed at enabling off-campus learning opportunities that would not happen without additional support. The total sum available was split into thirds so that there would be three years of extra support for field trips.

During the 2009 - 2010 school year, this fund has supported the following field trips:

• Blue Dragon - SFU School For Contemporary Arts
• Field Trip to Victoria (Legislature)
• Vancouver Police Museum
• Vancouver Law Courts
• Fine Arts Day - guest presenters
• Theatre Workshops

Plans for Field trip fund, 2010 - 2011, include:

• Leadership guest speaker - field trip is coming to the school!
• Victoria Law Courts - (expecting an application to come in)
• Possible Fraser River
• other ideas on first-come first-served basis.
