Call for Volunteers

For the 2016 Teacher Appreciation and Christmas Party we need to decorate the room as a holiday festive spectacular. Please volunteer and join the PAC and students to decorate for the party at any of the times listed below. It will be so much fun!

Monday, December 12, 3:30-4:30 pm
Meet with students at UHill to deliver your donated decorations, create the concept, plan and design the pieces, create final materials list, coordinate fabrication/installation.

Tuesday, December 13, all day
Parents can donate final décor materials at the school. Michael’s and all the Dollar Stores are all having BIG SALES!

Wednesday, December 14, 3:30 pm
Meet with students at UHill to make and hang decorations. Please be sure to bring useful tools such as tape, staplers, large color markers, hot glue guns, good music, festive holiday attitudes, treats (if you like!), and anything else you think will be useful and fun.

Thursday, December 15, 1:00 pm 
Install final decorations and then at 3:00 pm the party will begin! After the party we encourage the students and parents to take home their decorations, or work with us to dispose them and clean up.

Suggested Decoration Donations

• Red or green or white balloons (we’re aiming for 400)
• Rolls of thin ribbon for the balloons
• Rolls of red or white or green crepe paper ribbon
• Bold bright pattern Christmas wrapping paper
• Long rolls of 6” wide or larger red or green or white satin ribbon
• 30 empty boxes that are approximately 18” square
• 40 Christmas plastic table covers
• Whatever else you can imagine. 

Also, if parents would like to loan decorations such as strings of Christmas lights or other decorations that will be returned, please do.
