Budget Townhall Meeting!

Join our DPAC Executive at our Town Hall Meeting
February 7th at Hamber Secondary Cafeteria.

This event is open to all parents. Every school should get some parents out to share ideas and concerns with our DPAC and with the School Board.

The Provincial Budget is expected to be released on February 19th. Any information we can acquire now will assist in determing what next year will look like.

The proposed School Calendar continues to include District Closure Days which is costing a many parents a minimum of $30 per day for child-care. With the proposed seven District Closure days that would be parents paying minimum of $210 towards balancing the School Board budget.

In our recent survey on the budget, PACs fundraising is providing over $10,000 towards many of the individual schools for playgrounds, technology including Ipads, computers and sports equipment that one would expect would be provided through the provincial budget.

Come out and share your ideas and concerns on February 7th.
