Social Networking Workshop

Social Networking – How are kids using the internet?

How do facebook / twitter / youtube / etc. work? How are kids using it? Can it be used it to support academics? How to benefit from the advantages and minimize any hazards?

  • These and other questions are important for teens and families. Come to learn about, and discuss, social media with Jesse Miller of Mediated Reality (http://www.mediatedreality.com).
  • Mr. Miller speaks regularly with children, teens, parents and educators about social media and the internet.
  • Last year our kids benefited from a workshop at school with him. Now it's parents' turn!
This open meeting is for all parents, and will be held in the UHill High School library at 7:00pm on Wed. March 2nd, 2011. Everyone is welcome. We hope to offer translation for Mandarin & Korean.

Please pass this invitation on to all your friends and family who will be deciding which courses are best for their kids in the next school year. We look forward to seeing you at the meeting.
