UHill Secondary P.A.C. Annual General Meeting

As a BC registered non-profit organization, UHill Secondary Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) is required to have an annual general meeting.

Ours will be June 8th 2010, 7:00pm, in the School Library.

Why Should You Attend?
  • to find out just WHAT has been accomplished this (and previous) years;
  • to help us set priorities for continuing, and improving, communication between parents and the school;
  • to thank outgoing P.A.C. for the work they have done contributing to our school.
Tentative Agenda (1 - 2 hrs total)
  1. Welcome
  2. How parents contributed to this school this year and in the past
  3. Discuss ways to contribute to the school next year.
  4. Produce a calendar of events for 2010-2011.
  5. AGM intro.
  6. Review of finances (Treasurer)
  7. Clarify PAC's mandate and executive responsibilities (Chair)
  8. Vote in new execs (Chair, Vice chair, (or co-chairs) Secretary, Treasurer, members at large (who contribute with translation, organizing special events, coordinating volunteers, etc.)
  9. Thank-you to volunteers and outgoing execs.
  10. adjourn

Thank you Breakfast for Teachers


We need your help preparing and delivering a thank you breakfast for teachers, June 10th. This annual UHill PAC "event" needs Volunteers to provide any contributions you can. Our fantastic staff have devoted a long 9 months to the growth and development of our children, and this is the least we can do to say Thanks!

Update on recent Uhill activities

This has been a busy end of year period.
  1. Thank you so much to Maggie, Louise, Jill, and all the others who made the international lunch a success. This is a fun event but complicated to organize and run and many people contributed food and time to make it happen THANK YOU EVERYONE!
  2. This is week two of the UHill HillFest arts events. Last week the senior theater classes put on an amazing 1960's version of A Midsummer Night's Dream. A Fantastic look, lighting and effects, totally well-prepared acting and everyone clearly having a great time making their roles come to life.   3. This week we get to see the Junior theater company, choir and band performances. This is a school with lots of high-end arts abilities. Don't miss the shows!
The Parent Advisory Council must run it's Annual General Meeting soon. This is where we debrief the past year, learn from how things went, and plan for next year. New executives will get voted in, and finances reviewed. It's all about getting set for a new year of supporting our school and the fine public education that our kids enjoy.
