PAC News, March 2010 - Impacts of the changing school budget for 2010-2011

The Provincial budget of March 2010 has resulted in the Vancouver School Board making changes to the budget for the education for our children.

All parents are invited to learn how this will affect students and families at an open PAC meeting Thursday April 8th, in the school library at 7:00pm.

Agenda

1. The principal of UHill Secondary will outline VSB budget plans and highlight the likely impact on our school, the students, their education and our community.
2. Questions, answers and discussions.
3. If desired, draft and agree on any statements we (as parents) want to make to the school and/or the Board. Example: does it mean "mini" might be dropped?
4. The role of PAC: present and discuss new plans for ways that the Parent Advisory Council can help families, students and the community during the next school year.

This meeting is important for all parents in order to understanding how the new school year will be different from this and past years. Please bring all your friends and colleagues who expect to have kids at UHill Secondary next year.
