- Teachers’ wish list updates (Casino funding)
A total of $13800 has been approved by PAC to support teachers’ wish list.
- PAC meeting changed to 3rd Wednesday of the month
4. Ms. Watanabe (Gr. 12 counselor):
Thrive Month, a new initiative we are taking at the school to help students to flourish - started last week,
will run till May 11.U-Hill has higher than average stressed youths - we want to help them be the best they
can be, well rounded individuals. Lots of events planned to help students flourish: Dog therapy, Mental Health
summit, “Run for it” - fund raising for Women’s Hospital ; book display.

UBC president Santa Ono will be at UHill May 9th to give student a speech - to talk about his own mental
health journey.

5. Principal’s Report.
- Celebration of excellence at school - winners are chosen from every grade.
- Parents Newsletter send out via email. Daily bulletin available on website (top left corner of website)
- Graduation Numeracy Assessment - all Gr. 10 and Gr. 11 will be writing it in June
- VSB operating budget is out - decline number of students, may see some cuts
- In consultation: Grade 8 coming back to U-Hill Secondary in September 2019
6. Fundraising.
- Save on Food cash card - will be offered again in May
- Scholarship fundraising ideas - may do something new this year
