Teacher's breakfast - A thank-you from parents.

We need your help preparing and delivering a thank you breakfast for teachers, Tuesday June 7th. This annual UHill PAC "event" needs Volunteers to provide any contributions you can.

Our fantastic staff have devoted a long 9 months to the growth and development of our children, and this is the least we can do to say Thanks!

New School and construction: prospects & timelines

This is the last open meeting for all parents this year.
7:00pm on Tuesday May 31st. 2011, at the school library.


Agenda and tentative approximate timing for this open meeting:
7:00 - Welcome (P.A.C. executive)
7:05 - New school: what to expect and construction timeline (Principal)

8:00 - Plan Teacher's Breakfast (annual thank you from parents to teachers)
8:15 - PAC: annual review and AGM (including election of new executives)

We hope you can attend this important event. We will learn what's in store for the next year regarding construction at our school and we will welcome a new group of parent representatives who have some great ideas for information, communication, and contributing to our amazing school!

International Lunch update

52 families have signed up to contribute time, food or funds to support our PAC fund raiser. This is good news - thanks all!

International lunch

Dear Parents,
Our annual International Lunch Fundraiser for UHILL Secondary happens on Monday, May 30. This year we would like money raised to contribute towards the New High School - something that parents would like but which is beyond the scope of the school board. Perhaps a permanent mural, or logo for example. Ideas are still being considered

In 2010 there over 30 parents contributed food and time. We raised $662 for the school, and we hope to at least double that target this year.

Success depends upon support from ALL parents, particular those of G8 and G9 students. You will carry this tradition forward, so participation is important. Here's how: come to the school library 7:00pm May 18th, or email maggiewqn@yahoo.ca to express interest in helping. Most contributors simply provide a menu item or two that can be sold to as many students as possible. We usually sell out !
